Grading Policy
GRADING POLICIES
Grades will be shared with parents periodically in the form of missing assignment sheets or progress reports. If you would like to know your child’s grade between reports, please contact me and I will send you an update electronically.
Assignment weights will vary each nine weeks, since students will have projects during some quarters but not others. In general, however, assignment weights are as follows:
- Homework: 25%
- Classwork: 25%
- Tests / Quizzes: 25%
- Projects or other special assignments: 25%
Homework dollars will be awarded for good behavior and academic success; these may be used for credit on homework assignments or to purchase other rewards (to be reviewed in class). Homework dollars may not be used on larger assignments such as review packets or projects.
